These are great!
One of my favorites was 'haven't got a pot to piss in. My understanding is that it comes from the tanning trade. They used urine to tan hides and if you were really poor, you could always sell a pot of pee to them. If you had a pot to piss in, that is, lol.
I'm also fascinated with words that are made up - ones that should be in the dictionary. Here's one:
