She comes beyond the centuries
Was held within her offered word
She saw the only road to take
A twining, winding, twisting net

Obscured by words of disbelief
She was compelled to keep the peace.
Free will was given as her bond
Exchanged but for a single life

Intention freely given once
But bound and taken for all time
Witnessed by the mated twelve
Their fates enlaced infinity

The lie wrapped in a healing truth
A bargain sealed with binding words.
A soul compelled to give each life
Kept seeking freedom quietly

Invisible, yet powerful
Sustained the simmering disbelief
She kept the search for knots untied
While working for the slow release

A puzzle to be pondered long
To find the clue that was the key
The words to speak to open doors
Until a trail of breadcrumbs brought
