First, let me say how excited I am for you!

You're going on the trip of a lifetime.!!!!!!

Second, just know that every single Italian woman will be drop dead gorgeous and well dressed. Get over it. There's nothing you can do about it!

Third, travel with one carry on bag and a large purse or backpack. You'll thank me when you're schleping luggage up and down stairs in the train stations.

Fourth, you can always buy it there. Leave the boots behind. Wear your most comfortable walking shoes and pack soft slippers for indoors.

Fifth, pack clothes for one week. They have laundry in Italy, so you can wash things. No one will notice that you're wearing the same things. I often travel for months with clothes for one week. Just this year we were in Malaysia for two months, one suitcase and one small backpack.

And sixth - have a terrific time!!!!
