Many writers here on Medium have applied to be a writer several times and it seemed to go nowhere.
NewsBreak has gone through a lot of changes in the past year and they’ve announced yet another one.
The good news is they’re opening their doors to new writers.
Right now, you can sign up and create an account without a huge approval process.
You can learn about the platform and begin to find your following while polishing your writing.
** It has come to my attention that NewsBreak is requiring a US phone number during the application process. I’m sorry they have made this a requirement as they will miss out on so many wonderful and diverse points of view.
You won’t be paid for your writing right away.
Once you have 100 followers and 10 accepted articles, you will be eligible to apply for monetization. (no guarantees, but it’s a start).
